Why see The Signalman?

Dickens Ghostly Classic

Middle Ground Theatre Company Ltd presents a newly expanded version of their staging of Charles Dickens' supernatural classic The Signalman, starring Chris Walker (Doctors) and John Burton (Father Brown; Brookside). Adapted by Francis Evelyn and directed by Michael Lunney, atmospheric video projections and an evocative, beautifully realised set bring an unforgettable sense of Victorian suspense to your evening in this excellent production.

What Is The Story?

Set in 1880, the story follows a troubled railway signalman who is being plagued by premonitions of catastrophe along the lonely section of track he watches over. When a curious traveller stumbles upon the desolate signal box, he attempts to ease the man's mounting dread, but can he intervene before it's too late?
